To remove the sky, insert the following code into DrawIndexedPrimitive:

if(blockSky && NumVertices == 4 && primCount == 2 && Type == D3DPT_TRIANGLELIST && (MinVertexIndex == 0 || MinVertexIndex == 4 || MinVertexIndex == 8 || MinVertexIndex == 12))
return D3D_OK;

I have tried the same method to remove flashbangs, but it interferes with other things on my screen.

So far, I have found no interferences with other objects upon removing the sky, but please report if any are found.

There is nothing in his code that has strides in it.

CRCs arnt hard to find, people just would like c+p action for the most part (like your lovly code :) ), even so, gj with this and maybe it will show people that there are more ways

the problem with CRC's (and why this is better) is because different maps have different skyboxes, theirfor the CRC's would be different.

very nice, i just use the CRC's though since it came w/ the src. to IcT Dx... it only seems to be effective in de_Dust.. it just warps the sky around, makes it look weird, but gj
